The 4100 Ethernet model works with any Ethernet equipped PC, regardless of operating system. Subscribers get the flexibility of connecting with convenient Ethernet or using effortless, plug-and-play USB, maximizing deployment options and subscriber value.

The SpeedStream PPPoE Modem and Routers Web-configurable, embedded PPPoE client means service providers get easy deployment and activation while users get connected without loading software.

SpeedStream DSL Routers have full-featured Web-based management and diagnostic tools, plus embedded TR-069 and TR-064 capability make support a snap. Their comprehensive routing features include: support for Network Address Port Translation (NAPT); Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP); and Domain Name Server (DNS) relay.

Support for ADSL2, ADSL2+, and RE-ADSL standards with with streamlined deployment and interface flexibility make SpeedStream DSL Modems, PPPoE Modems, and Routers the perfect solution for residential CPE deployments.

The Siemens Speedstream 4100 use the Texas Instruments AR7 TNETD7300A chipset and have 2 megabytes of RAM. The amount of free memory depends on the version of the firmware being used.

The Texas Instruments AR7 is the fully integrated single-chip ADSL CPE access router solution comprising:

An integrated, high performance MIPS 32-Bit RISC processor;
ADSL PHY subsystem based on TI C62x DSP, with integrated transceiver, coder/decoder (Codec), line driver, and line receiver;
Hardware accelerated ATM Segmentation and Reassembly (SAR);
